There seems to be something about the Scandinavian air which aids the creativity and hard work required in the development of online slots. Elk Studios are one of the newer entrants into this competitive market but they join companies such as Net Entertainment and Yggdrasil Gaming who hail from that part of the world – in this case Stockholm in Sweden.
Elk Studios state that they:
“use advanced math’s models and a high level of technology to create our products we always assure that they are delivered with a human touch.”
That’s always good to hear and after only a handful of years in existence (they were founded in 2012) they have several high quality games on offer.
It’s fair to say that there’s a certain family resemblance between the styles of gameplay offered by companies from Scandinavia; the graphical quality is always high and the the bonus features very rarely adhere to the standard ‘free spins’ model.
The Lab slot is a good example of this – the background to the reels is a swirling vortex centred over the centre position on reel two; landing a particular symbol on that vortex will trigger the bonus feature on that particular game.
We hope to be able to play and review more of Elk Studios’ games as they are released but you can click on the table entries below to read our reviews so far.
