A bit of history first – DC Comics began life as National Allied Publications way back in 1934 and five years prior to Marvel Comics. From early on the company was referred to as ‘DC’ after it’s popular series called Detective Comics but the moniker didn’t become official until 1977.
Everyone knows the most famous DC Comics superheroes such as Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman but further down the list are other famous names such as Green Lantern, Green Arrow and Aquaman.
So let’s get to the online slots and while the DC Comics games tend to get overshadowed by the Marvel slots and their huge progressive jackpots, there are some very good games out there. We’ve played DC Comics slots produced by both Cryptologic and Microgaming and they’ve all made a good impression on us. Cryptologic for example have produced Batman and Wonder Woman and the former in particular is an atmospheric, well-designed game with some high quality graphics and plenty of bonus features.
