You may well be familiar with the name Endemol; it’s a big, big television production company responsible for such well-known shows as Big Brother, Who Wants to be a Millionaire and The Cube.  Endomol was formed by the merger of two Dutch television companies in 1994 and is now one of the largest of it’s kind in the world.

One of the offshoots of this business is Endemol Games, a part of the organisation which develops online slot machines based on their television shows.  In fact it’s not just slots which are developed here; there are also fixed odds terminals, scratch cards and bingo but it’s the spinning reels we’re interested in.

We’ve recently reviewed the UFC slot, based on the Ultimate Fighting Championship and that’s a game of the highest quality.  It features five reels and twenty paylines, some fantastic live animation and several creative bonus features.

The UFC slot seems to be a prime example of how a company with a broadcasting background can bring a televisual experience to a slot machine.  Sections of the game are similar to playing a video game and the quality of the graphics is really second to none.

The list of available slots is relatively limited at the moment but includes some very good looking and playable slots including Catch Phrase, The Millions Pound Drop and, believe it or not, the Big Brother slot.

Endemol Games works with a number of development platforms including Playtech and OpenBet and it licences it’s products to loads of online casinos.  These include 888.com, Paddy Power and Casino Club.

Endemol does not produce slots at the same rapid rate as some of the more dominant developers out there which is a pity on one hand, but on the other hand each release is a finely tuned game which clearly takes time to perfect.  We look forward to playing more of this companies’ slots and you can read our reviews of Endemol’s games below.
