If you’ve played Bally Technologies’ Quick Hit Black Gold then you’ll already have a good idea of what to expect from Quick Hit Platinum. It’s designed along similar lines but a closer look will reveal differences in the extra features rather than the look of the game. There are several extras on show here so read on to find out more.
Quick Hit Platinum plays out over five reels, three rows and thirty paylines; there’s no particular theme to this game except ‘platinum’ and the backdrop to the reels is a metallic surface adorned with the Quick Hit (QH) logo.
Traditional symbols are the order of the day here and include cherries, bells, red bars and single/double/triple flaming red sevens.
The wild symbol is presented by a ‘Wild’ and the scatter is a ‘Free Bonus Games’ icon which should provide a clue to the main feature.
Additionally there are ‘Quick Hit’ and ‘Quick Hit Platinum’ symbols which we shall explain in detail below.
Quick Hit Bonus
This is a scatter symbol which is active anywhere within one position of payline one (that’s a straight line across the centre) meaning it’s active anywhere. There’s a range of scatter multipliers available from 1x your stake for three symbols up to 2000x for nine symbols.
Quick Hit Platinum Bonus
This is a standard scatter which pays up to 5000x your total take for five anywhere in view.
You will need to land three of the ‘Free Bonus Games’ scatters anywhere on reels two, three of four to trigger this feature. You will now be asked to pick from a grid of 20 boxes until you have three matching from the following:
- Five spins + 2x multiplier
- Seven spins + 2x multiplier
- Ten spins + 2x multiplier
- Eleven spins + 2x multiplier
- Fifteen spins + 2x multiplier
- Twenty spins + 3x multiplier
There’s also a wild box which will count towards any other pick, plus five more spins. More spins can be triggered from within the feature up to a total of fifty. Quick Hit scatters are active during the spins but Quick Hit Platinum scatters are not.
What looks like a simple slot turns out to be a bit more complex but if you like it’s predecessor, you’ll like this. The RTP of 94.06% is fractionally more than Quick Hit Black Gold but still a bit disappointing.
