Jewel Blast is a five reel slot with three rows and twenty five fixed paylines; the symbols float in bubbles on a purple background and the impression is almost of being underwater which gives the game a relaxing and laid back feel.

As the title would suggest the five high value symbols are all jewels if different colours – blue, red, yellow, green and purple; 10, J, Q, K and A make up the lower values and they come in matching colours.

The wild symbol is a multicoloured bubble which substitutes for everything except the bonus icon; that symbol is a gold ‘Bonus Wild’ which activates the feature.

Jewel Blast revolves around this attractive feature and it’s part of the base game rather than a separate bonus. It’s triggered by landing two or more of the Bonus Wild symbols anywhere on the reels; after any wins have been paid those Bonus Wilds and all symbols surrounding each one will be blasted away to allow more symbols to fall into place.

Any new wins will now be paid and if any new Bonus Wild symbols appear the blast will happen again; this sequence of blasts and wins continues until no more Bonus Wild symbols appear on the reels at which point the standard game restarts.

Verdict

Jewel Blast is definitely one to check out; it’s addictive, it looks great and it’s designed to a very high standard. There are some big wins available when the Blast Bonus triggers and there’s a respectable RTP of 96.52%.
