We’ve been checking out what’s on offer from Yggdrasil Gaming recently and although it may not be a giant portfolio of games, they are without exception very enjoyable to play. The Dark Joker Rizes is yet another good-looking online slot which combines some traditional characteristics with some classy bonus features – check our review below for more information.
The Dark Joker Rizes is a five reels lot with three rows and just ten fixed paylines; there’s a dark atmosphere to this game which is heightened by the background music while gothic metalwork and skulls border the reels.
There’s a traditional range of symbols which are all designed in a slightly creepy way; they include cherries, limes, grapes, bells, sevens and a big red star. The low number of paylines is offset by the ability to create winning combinations from right to left as well as left to right.
There’s no wild but the scatter is represented by the joker symbol and it’s the key to several features in this game.
Joker Mystery Win
During the base game any time you land three or more jokers anywhere in view you’ll receive a Mystery Win:
- Three jokers – 1000-6000 coins
- Four jokers – 3000-6000 coins
- Five jokers – 6000 coins
Every time land a winning combo you will trigger the Jokerizer mode; the winning amount is banked and you can now choose whether to collect that prize or use to buy respins. If you opt for the respins, each spin will cost 20 coins but you now have to land just two jokers for a Mystery Win. This will be worth between 20-6000 coins. After the Mystery Win award you may also receive a free spins with all jokers remaining frozen in place.
If you manage to collect 200 or more coins in your Jokerizer balance you can select that option to spin the reels with a joker guaranteed to land; that spin will cost 200 coins.
Note: If you are using Autoplay then the Jokerizer mode will start automatically – you won’t be able to collect what’s been banked.
We’re really impressed with The Dark Joker Rizes, it looks basic but explodes into life when you start playing. There’s rarely a time when something’s not happening and it has a healthy RTP of 96.30%.
