Wild animals are always a safe bet as a theme for an online slot machine and it’s Playtech who have reanimated this subject once again with Roaring Wilds, a game featuring various carnivorous creatures who are all doing their best to earn you some free spins and a bit of cash.
Roaring Wilds is a five reel slot with four rows and up to forty paylines; the reels themselves are simple gold affairs which spin against a dramatic backdrop of mountain peaks under a sky streaked with a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis.
The high value symbols are all animals as one would expect and include jaguars, eagles and some sort of fish; J, Q, K and A make up the lower values. All can appear stacked on the reels.
The wild symbol is the growling bear (hence the Roaring Wild….) and it will substitute for all others to form winning combinations except for the paw print scatter which activates the main feature. Roaring Wilds is not the most compelling slot we’ve played but if you like the theme of animals and nature it might be one to try. It also comes with a rather low RTP of 93.60%.
