Reef Run is a five reel slot with twenty fixed paylines and to get an idea of the theme you need to look beyond those reels at the underwater townscape in the distance. These creatures don’t live under rocks or on the sea bottom – they reside in a some sort of futuristic aquatic metropolis.
There are only six main symbols here and they are all multicolour residents of this undersea city. We think they are a seahorse, a sea slug, an octopus, a lobster, a crab and a puffer fish.
There is no wild symbol here but there is a scatter which is represented by a big ‘Free Spins’ logo.

This feature appears to be pretty easy to trigger and perhaps that’s to compensate for the lack of a wild symbol. Anyway it’s activated by landing three or more of the Free Spins symbols anywhere in view for which you will receive the following:
- Three scatters – 10 spins

- Five scatters – 60 spins
When the spins are underway you will notice that six spaces corresponding to the fishy symbols appear beside the reels. Each time you land a winning combo containing one of those fish you will increase the multiplier for the next time that combo lands – 5x, 10x and 20x. Verdict
There’s certainly nothing fishy about Reef Run, the graphics and animations are top notch and it’s pleasingly easy to trigger the free spins. Definitely worth a pop.
