We like to check out something a little different every now and again and this fruit-themed online slot from Playtech does indeed offer an alternative to the standard fare. It’s called Multiplier Madness for reasons which we shall explain below but on top of that it includes a tasty progressive jackpot plus an opportunity to gamble your winnings.
Multiplier Madness is a five reel slot with three rows and ten fixed paylines; it’s designed to look like a genuine slot machine, the brushed gold metal gleaming in the ceiling lights of the casino. The progressive jackpot totals are shown above the reels and the all-important multiplier spinner is on the right hand side.
The main symbols are six different kinds of fruit including a watermelon slice, a bunch of grapes, an orange, a plum, a lemon and some cherries.
The wild symbol is a collection of gold stars which substitutes for all others except the big ‘X’ scatter icon.
Multiplier Power Reel
This is the bones of the game and you can see the extra multiplier reel to the right of the standard five; the purpose of this reel is to display the multiplier for the current spin and also for the next few spins (which you can see further down the reel). Multipliers range from 1x al the way up to 100x which is clearly worth having. The game also promises a random Mystery Event that will guarantee a win with a higher multiplier.
The progressive jackpot is won by landing three or more of the big ‘X’ scatter symbols anywhere in view and you will win the corresponding amount for your collected ‘X’s. The sizes of the jackpots are proportional to your stake so the more you bet, the larger the prize.
Base game wins can be gambled in a simple red/black game which can either double your winnings or take it all back. The limit for winnings here is a fairly low £5000.
We like Multiplier Madness, it offers something a bit different and that’s always a plus. The RTP is a little low at 93.17% but the addition of the progressive jackpot is a positive thing.
