Merlin’s Held Respins
This is triggered by landing four matching symbols on the four positions on reels one and two; these symbols will be held in place while the other reels spin and Merlin may chip in to add up to six wilds to the action.
Merlin’s Free Spins
Trigger this by landing three red gem scatter symbols anywhere on reels three, four and five and you’ll receive ten free spins which can be retriggered in the same manner. Merlin may add up to nine wild symbols per spin during this round.
Merlin’s Wild Spins
This is the most valuable feature and it’s triggered with matching symbols on reels one and two and three scatter symbols on reels three, four and five; if there are four wilds on reels one and two you’ll receive twenty free spins – any other symbol will award ten.
Reels one and two will always be wild when the spins start and Merlin may add up to twelve wild symbols to the other reels per spin.

Verdict
A change in payline structure always offers something a little different and it works quite well here, especially because two of the features are triggered in reels one and two; Merlin seems to have come up trumps again in a very enjoyable slot.
