There’s a great intro movie when you first load up Heist, this superb-looking online slot from Betsoft Gaming. It introduces Neil Quailand, a career thief and his nemesis Detective Kowalski – the man hoping to bring him down. Heist contains some lovely graphics along with a number of bonus features so check out our full review below for all the details.
Heist is a five reel slot with three rows and up to thirty paylines; the reels spin on the screen of a security system with the controls underneath acting as the various buttons.
All the symbols are theme-related and include Quailand, Kowalski, diamonds, cash, a banknote, a pistol, bank vault plans, a keypad and a stopwatch. The Quailand and Kowalski symbols will payout for two on a winning payline.
There are no wild symbols but plenty of bonus icons including a glass cutter, explosives, drills and the vault.
Bonus Features
Glass Cutter Bonus
Trigger this by landing three or more of the glass cutter symbols anywhere in view and you will play a picking game; select one of the glass cutters shown to receive some free spins, a cash prize or entry to the bonus round.
2x Wild Reel
Land the C4 explosive symbol on the centre position of reel three and it will explode to make the whole reel wild. The payout will be reevaluated with a 2x multiplier and if you’re lucky the reel will be held for one more spin.
Vault Bonus Round
This is triggered by landing three of the vault symbols on an active payline and you now get to help Neil navigate his way through the bank’s security system. At each stage you must pick one of the options which will either help you move onwards or get you chased off by Detective Kowalski.
Verdict
Heist looks and sounds great and it has a storyline which is usually lacking in this industry. It’s an all-action release and while we probably prefer Betsoft’s similar Slotfather game, this is definitely worth checking out.
