Regular online slots players will no doubt find some similarities between Bouncy Balls, this cheerful release from Playtech/Virtue Fusion and games such as Chain Reactors from OpenBet. They’re not slots in the traditional sense but they belong to the same family and offer the same prize-winning opportunities. Read our review of this game below for all the essential information., including the progressive jackpot.
As you can see from the screenshot above, Bouncy Balls takes place on a 5×5 grid in a space between two trees; a rising sun and a green meadow occupy the background while a shy bird watches on from the right hand side.
There are only six symbol in play here, they are are six coloured balls all with different names – Fireball, Hardball, Oddball, Iceball, Goofball and Furball.
The premise of Bouncy Balls is very simple and all you are trying to is create vertical and/or horizontal lines of five or more matching symbols. Furball pays the least at 0.4x your stake but if you can land sixteen or more Hardballs that’s worth 5000x your stake (Fireball activates the progressive jackpot – more below). Diagonal connections are not allowed.
Winning combos will then explode, allowing more balls to drop into place and give you the chance of more matches.
Fireball is the key to the progressive jackpot and you will win the amount in the box to the right of the grid if you can land eight or more of this red character.
Like similar Playtech/Virtue Fusion slots there is a sliding scale of win amounts depending on your stake (which ranges from £0.10 to £4.00). The stakes and potential win amounts are as follows:
- £0.10 stake – 1% of jackpot
- £0.20 stake – 2% of jackpot
- £0.50 stake – 5% of jackpot
- £1.00 stake – 10% of jackpot
- £2.00 stake – 20% of jackpot
- £3.00 stake – 30% of jackpot
- £4.00 stake – 40% of jackpot
- £5.00 stake – 50% of jackpot
- £10.00 stake – 100% of jackpot
We like games such as Bouncy Balls as a diversion from more standard slots every now and again and although this is perhaps a little dated now it’s good fun and it does come complete with that progressive jackpot.
