The Pacific islands are our destination for this brand new online slot from Net Entertainment; it’s called Wild Water and it takes place in the early days of surfing. The outfits are all direct from the 1960s and and there’s even the obligatory surfing hippy to complete the laid back scene.
Wild Water plays out over five reels and twenty fixed paylines and it’s all set against the backdrop of an island beach scene; there are palm trees, blue skies and of course a VW Camper Van.
You will notice when you begin playing this game that most of the symbols are stacked which means that they can cover more than one position on a single reel. There are only five main symbols and they are all surfers which we will separate by outfit colour – blue, green, yellow, orange and red. The sunset surfer is the only basic symbol which doesn’t appear stacked.
The scatter symbol is unsurprisingly another surfer and he’s also the key to the main feature. Lastly there’s a wild shark symbol who will substitute for everything else except the scatter.
Bonus Features
Surf’s Up Bonus
Any mix of five surfers on the reels will pay a bet multiplier of 20x. The symbols must be stacked and cover each whole reel.
Surf Team Bonus
If you can land all five surfers on the reels then you will win a great bet multiplier of 200x. The symbols must be stacked and cover each whole reel.
Free Spins
Land three or more of the surfing chap scatter symbols anywhere on the reels and you will receive a number of free spins which increases with the number of scatters landed up to a maximum of sixty. During this feature the wild shark also becomes stacked, but only if he can make a winning combination when doing so.
Wild Water Online Slot Playing Tips
The paylines are fixed and there’s not too much we can add here but it’s worth keeping the sound on for the groovy sixties surfing soundtrack.
Verdict
This is one of the simpler releases from Net Entertainment of late but that doesn’t make it any less enjoyable. The stacked symbols means that winning combinations are formed regularly but that seems to be at the expense of the free spins feature which is tough to trigger. Still, this is well worth playing and it looks great.
