As all online slots fans will already know, Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch post-Impressionist artist responsible for paintings such as Starry Night and Sunflowers. The crowning glory of that career is surely to have a slot based on your life and that’s what we have here – it’s called simply Van Gogh, it’s developed by IGT and it comes with two separate bonus features.
Van Gogh is a five reel slot with three rows and up to twenty paylines; those reels spin in an ornate gold frame behind which we can just about make out Starry Night.
There are four high value symbols – the game’s Van Gogh logo, a self-portrait, Starry Night and another painting we can’t place; Q, K and A are the lower values.
The wild symbol is a big ‘Wild’ and it substituted for all others except the ‘Bonus’ – that’s what activates the main feature.
Bonus Features
Tumbling Reels
This is a feature we always like and it occurs in the base game and the free spins; every time you land a winning combo you will be paid out and then those symbols involved will disappear, leaving space for more to fall into their places. These new symbols can then form new winning combos and this process continues until there are no more wins. It’s almost (but not quite) like getting a free spin every time you win.
Free Spins
This is triggered by landing three or more of the bonus symbols on an active payline on reels one, two and three. Initially you will only receive six free spins but during this round more can be won by landing more bonus icons:

Verdict
Van Gogh is graphically fairly basic but we like the inclusion of various bits of artwork; the tumbling reels are also a favourite and this is certainly one to check out. There’s an RTP of 95.00%.
