Microgaming do a really nice line in online slots, some of which you’ll be familiar with if you’ve read our reviews of Tiger vs Bears or Wild Catch. As far as we’re aware this is the first wolf-related game from this prolific software developer and the good news is that it features some cracking graphics and nice bonus features.
Untamed Wold Pack is a five reel slot with 243 possible ways to win; it’s obviously set somewhere where wolves run free in a forested and mountainous terrain. The four main symbols feature a landscape, deer, wolf cubs and an adult wolf while the lower value ones are 10, J, Q, K and A
Special symbols include an ‘Untamed Wolf Pack’ wild and a wolf’s eye scatter which activates one of the bonus features.
Bonus Features
Free Spins
If you can land three, four or five of the eye scatter symbols then you’ll be rewarded with ten free spins. There’s also a lucky nudge feature here and sometimes, if you land just two scatter symbols, a third just out of view will nudge either up or down into place to help you win the spins.
During the free spins round the wild stacks feature comes into it’s own and on every spin the stack on each reel will grow by one. Towards the end of this bonus round there’ll be so many wilds in play that you won’t be able to avoid winning something.
Collect A Wild Feature
Underneath each reel you will notice a set of four small boxes and you task is to fill these boxes up. You accomplish this by landing the ‘Untamed Wolf Pack’ wild symbol on a reel and this will populate one box underneath that reel.
When all the boxes are full on one reel it will turn completely wild for four spins and as you can see from the video below it’s also possible to have more than one reel wild at the same time.
Gamble Feature

Verdict
This is a great game with a dramatic soundtrack; the free spins round is good but we really like the Collect A Wild feature which occurs regularly enough to make you want to keep playing. The graphics and animations are also impressive.
