A brand new online slot from Quickspin is always welcome and Treasure Island is as good as it gets when it comes to bombarding us with bonus features and top quality graphics. Of course it’s based on the 1883 novel of the same name by Robert Louis Stevenson which tells the story of piracy and Pacific island battles.
Treasure Island features five reels, four rows and forty paylines and it brings a cartoonish feel to the story; the background is of a tropical island and blue skies and the music is suitably piratical and appropriately nautical.
The main symbols are various characters from the story and we imagine they include Jim Hawkins, Ben Gunn and Long John Silver. The lower value symbols are playing card icons with the background of a treasure map.
Bonus symbols include a treasure chest wild, a floating TNT barrel wild and a compass bonus which triggers the main feature.
Bonus Features
Pirate Attack Wild
This seems to be a regularly occurring bonus and all you need to do is land two of the barrel wild symbols anywhere on the reels. The reels will now become invisible apart from those wilds and you’ll see a pirate ship in the background.
The ship will fire cannonballs at the reels, turning each symbol it hits into a wild. Hitting a wild already present will explode that symbol in several others. The reels will then spin again for a healthy win.
Treasure Island Bonus
The compass symbols are the key to this feature and you need to land three anywhere on reels one, three and five to trigger it. Now pick one of the compasses and it will reveal one of the following bonuses:
