The Great Wall of China, once a vast fortification to keep out the marauding Mongol hordes, sets the scene for this online slot machine from Red Rake Gaming; it’s called Tiger & Dragon and from £0.20 per spin it tempts players with an unfeasible number of paylines, free spins and a Roulette mini-game.
Tiger & Dragon is a six reel slot with ten rows and one million paylines although the grey symbols are blanks with no payout attached; behind those reels the Great Wall winds away in to the distance where a mountain range awaits.
High value symbols include the tiger/dragon and three Chinese characters which we don’t have the ability to translate; 9, 10, J, Q, K and A make up the lower values. The green ‘Wild’ is wild and the ‘bonus’ icon is the special symbol.
Tiger & Dragon Bonus Features
Each symbol in a winning combination will disappear and be replaced by more falling in from above, hopefully making more wins and continuing the process.
This is triggered by achieving five reel cascades in a row which will be marked on the meter to the left of the reels; each additional cascade or bonus symbol in view will fill the meter a bit more up to a maximum of ten spins. During this round each cascade will increase the win multiplier by 1x with no maximum and if your final total is less then 15x the stake you’ll get five more spins.
Each non-winning spin will add a small amount to the Tiger & Dragon meter on the far left of the screen – when this meter is full this feature will activate, asking you to select the Tiger or Dragon before spinning the Roulette wheel. You’ll allows win a multiplier of your stake but if you also chose the correct colour animal you’ll get another spin; it’s possible to spin the wheel one hundred times if you’re unbelievably lucky.
Red Rake produce a few slots in this style and they’re a little unusual but we like them; the various meters keep things ticking along nicely and if you play for long enough you’ll always get to play some multiplier Roulette.
