The Legend of Ching Shih is a five reel slot with four rows and twenty fixed paylines in the base game; the backdrop to those lucky red and gold reels is a stylish view of Chinese buildings, calm waters and a Chinese junk with a beautiful red sail.
The high value symbols include Ching Shih herself, a pair of cutlasses, a treasure chest, a pirate junk and a gold coin; 10, J, Q, K and A make up the lower values.

Verdict
The Legend of Ching Shih is probably not our favourite pirate-themed slot machine but it’s still good fun and it’s refreshing to have a female lead in a profession dominated by the likes of Edward Teach and Calico Jack – we certainly like the extra paylines available in the free spins round.
