The symbols are all theme-related and include the adventurer’s kit, a giant mushroom, a wooden mask, a volcano, a tiger, a dinosaur, an spear-wielding Amazon and the explorer himself – a square-jawed fellow clutching a map.

Verdict
We quite enjoyed playing The Grand Journey although it does seem tough to win any decent sums; perhaps we were just unlucky. We reached the 10x multiplier in the bonus game only to win the smallest prize in the following spin which then set the multiplier back to 1x – not as great a return as we would expect from a free spins round.
