Online slots fans are old hands when it comes to visiting the jungles and temples of South America and this brand new release from Big Time Gaming invites us all to head in that direction again. It’s called Temple Quest and it’s packed with interesting features and bonus games so read on to find out more.
Temple Quest is a five reel slot with four rows and forty fixed paylines. It’s probably the most graphically impressive of any Amazon-themed slot and the reels are all built into stone squares which are emerging from an overgrown jungle.
There are only six basic symbols on the reels including Q, K A, a green jewel, a bird icon and a golden mask. The wild symbols is represented by a burning ‘Wild’ icon. All symbols can appear stacked on the reels.
When you first play the game you will notice that there are some giant icons – Free Spins, the Princess, Chest Of Fortune, as well as the basic symbols in giant form. These mega icons occupy up to 16 reels and are explained more below.
Bonus Features
Mega Icons
While the basic symbols act in the usual way in their giant form, the Free Spins, Princess and Chest Of Fortune trigger bonus features as follows:
- Free Spins – If all of part of the Free Spins mega icon appears anywhere in view you will receive the number of spins visible. Sixteen can be won initially but more can be triggered from within the feature. During the spins, reels two to five only contain mega icons with reel one having normal sized symbols.
- Princess – If all or part of the Princess appears in view you will be awarded the number keys she is covering up. You will then get to play a mini-game in which each key buys access to a spin of the prize stone. Each spin is worth a cash prize.
- Chest Of Fortune – If all or part of the Chest appears in view you will get to pick a prize for each standard size position covered.
Verdict
This is a really entertaining slot and one we’ll definitely come back to regularly. There are plenty of bonus features to keep things interesting and although we don’t know the RTP, we’ve fared pretty well so far.
