Who knows what grows behind the gates of the secret garden? That’s the question posed in the intro movie to this online slot from Rival Gaming. It’s called Secret Garden and it’s atmosphere and graphics are reminiscent of a children’s story from a some time in the past. Secret Garden plays out over five reels and up to twenty paylines and those reels are surrounded by nicely-drawn plants and flowers with a patch of blue sky just visible in the background.
All the symbols are theme-related and include a wheelbarrow planter, a water fountain, a rabbit with a huge carrot, a fork/trowel, a watering can, a boy and a girl, a squirrel and a selection of roses.
The duck represents the wild symbol and there are two scatters – the flowery master key and the designer gate – which activate their respective features.

What you have to do is guide the gardener to the centre space and then hold the mouse button down to water the earth until the plants have grown. This is a really ice-looking game which an appropriate soundtrack and it’s well worth checking out, even if only for the interactive bonus round. The RTP is a slightly disappointing 95.81% but passable.
