- but why not try one of these?
If you’ve ever fancied being a 1930s bank robber then your time may have come. Reel Crime: Bank Heist is the first in a two part series of online slots from Rival Gaming in which your task is to complete the necessary steps to break into a bank, grab the cash and make off in a getaway car. It’s also one of their i-Slots range which aims to offer players an enhanced gaming experience.
Reel Crime: Bank Heist plays out over five reels and fifteen paylines and all the symbols are theme-related; they include knuckledusters, a pair of spats, a gangster’s hat, a baton, a violin case, a bottle of alcohol, a bag of cash and a gangster silhouette.
The Tommy Gun is the scatter symbol in the base game but during the extensive bonus features others appear which include a vault door and a policeman.
There are four stage to this mammoth bonus game and you can see the way the story progresses by clicking on the ‘Map’ button above the reels. To trigger the bonus though you need to land three or more of the tommy gun scatter symbols anywhere on the reels.
Stage One – The Plan: Here you must try and find the key to the bank by shooting various on-screen objects. They are all worth a prize but what you need is that key. Find it and you will reach the ‘In The Bank’ stage, fail and you win the ‘On The Run’ stage.
Stage Two – In The Bank: Here you are back on the reels again and trying to unlock the vault before the policeman catches you. You and the policeman both advance by landing three or more scatter symbols (the policeman or the vault). Success takes you through to the ‘Dynamite’ round while failure wins you some loser’s free spins (see below).
Stage Three – On The Run: You’ll get here if you hit the alarm in the ‘The Plan’ stage and you must escape from the policeman. This is similar to the ‘In The Bank’ round in that landing the correct scatter symbols will move you forward while hitting policeman symbols will move him forward. Escape and you’ll make it to the ‘Dynamite’ round but fail and you’ll have to settle for some free spins.
Stage Four – Dynamite: On this set of reels there are three sets of scatter symbols – dynamite, getaway and cop.
- Dynamite – two, three, four or five of the dynamite scatters will trigger one, five, ten or twenty five free spins respectively, the latter comes with a 5x multiplier.
- Getaway – three or more getaway symbols will trigger five free spins with a 3x multiplier. Then you will also receive the loser’s free spins.
- Caught – three or more cop symbols means you are caught and effectively ends the game although you will now receive the loser’s free spins
Loser’s Free Spins: If you fail while playing ‘In The Bank’, ‘On The Run’ or the ‘Dynamite’ rounds you will receive some free spins. Select your gangster and then a vault to determine the number of spins/multipliers.
Once you get to grips with all the different bonus features this is an engaging slot which ticks along swiftly with some good sound effects. It’s probably worth noting that the gameplay during the bonus stages is not free, you are still paying for your spins here.
