Take a break from the spinning reels and check out this cheery mash up of several games from Granville Games. It’s called Poker Drop Riches, it’s developed on Odobo’s software platform and it’s certainly something of an odd fish, especially the first time you load it up and try to work out what’s going on.
The design of Poker Drop Riches is based on Lewis Carroll’s 1865 novel, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and you can see the various bits of evidence for this in the background. The aim of the game is to form poker hands on each row or column with the twenty five random playing cards which drop from the top of the screen.
How To Play Poker Drop Riches
The first thing to do is select your stake which is between £2.00 and £50.00; now click the big green button on the right hand side and playing cards will begin to drop from the top of the screen and pile up in columns of various heights. A question mark is a kind of bonus card which takes a little while to decide where it’s going to fall.
On each row or column you are looking for a complete poker hand with the minimum winner being two pairs; the full set and the potential winnings are listed below:
- Royal Flush – 1000x
- Straight Flush – 100x
- Four Of A Kind – 20x
- Full House – 3x
- Flush – 2x
- Straight – 1.6x
- Three Of A Kind – 1
- Two Pairs – 0.4x
If you manage to form a winning hand those cards will disappear and the rest will settle into place with the potential for more wins. Once a total of twenty five cards have dropped the hand is finished.
Each winning hand collects a few points and when the meter at the top of the screen reaches 75 you get three free spins. As you can see from the video above the first thing to do is click the treasure chest to determine the stake per hand and the watch the spins unfold.
There’s a randomly triggered bonus game which just requires you to spin the reels for a guaranteed winning hand.
After each win the game automatically takes you to a screen which gives you the opportunity to gamble your winnings. You must predict the colour or suit of the next card drawn to try and double or quadruple that win.
Poker Drop Riches is strangely compelling and you tend to find you get lots of small wins – mostly two pairs. Give it a go but avoid the gamble feature unless your pockets are deep.
