Any online slot which serenades players with The Bangles’ ‘Walk Like An Egyptian’ is off to a good start and that’s exactly how Pharaoh’s Fortune begins. This IGT game is of course themed on ancient Egypt but the addition of a comparatively modern pop song adds a tasty dichotomy. Read on to find out more about this hieroglyph-strewn diversion.
Pharaoh’s Fortune is a five reel slot with three rows and fifteen fixed paylines; the backdrop to those reels is a ancient Egyptian temple with hieroglyphs visible on the supporting column to the sides.
The main symbols are a selection of symbols for Egyptian gods and various other hieroglyphs; some of these we recognise from other slots – Osiris, Horus, Set for example – while others are a little more arcane but all nicely drawn.
The glowing pyramid is wild and substitutes for everything except bonus and scatter symbols; the scatter is a golden scarab beetle and the Sphinx’ head is the bonus icon which activates the main feature.
The Sphinx’ head is what you need here and you will need to land at least three on an active payline to trigger this feature. You will first be taken to a screen displaying a number of stone blocks and must pick them one by one. Each block will award you with either one free spin and another pick or one extra multiplier and another pick. The round is over when you find the ‘Start Bonus Spins’ block.
You will being the round with three spins and a 1x multiplier anyway and a win is guaranteed on every spin. The symbols might not form any winning combos but you will always win at least 3x your stake.
Landing more bonus symbols anywhere on reels one, two and three during this feature will double the spins you won initially.
Pharaoh’s Fortune Online Slot Playing Tips
Keep the sound on of course! Let The Bangles provide the accompaniment to your Egyptian odyssey.
This is a high quality slot from IGT; we like the fact that that feature is pretty easy to trigger but we never earned that much from this round. It’s all good fun though and of course the background music is a high point.
