The gigantic growth in online gaming on mobile devices has opened up opportunities for a number of specialist companies who developed games and software platforms just for this purpose. Nektan is one such company and their story really beings in July 2103 with the acquisition of a mobile technology company called Mfuse Ltd.
This acquisition came with a mobile gaming platform and in May 2014 came the debut of it’s own brand Chomp Casino. Later that same year Nektan signed an agreement with Spin Games LLC to use their mobile technology in US land-based casinos under a venture called ‘Respin’. Since then two more casinos, Sapphire Rooms and Spin Princess, have come online.
Nektan have two main sides to their business:
Evolve Gaming Platform
Evolve is a software platform which was launched in 2014 which enables third party games to be integrated easily and quickly into an online casino infrastructure. White label casinos can be constructed in this way and can accommodate blackjack, roulette and other table games as well as online slots.
Game Development
Designing and implementing online slots and other casino games is the other strand of Nektan’s business and although these are primarily designed for use on mobile devices, they are quite playable on desktop machines also – proving that a ‘touch’ mechanism can easily be transferred onto a ‘mouse-click’ screen.
