Medusa Megaways is a six reel slot with variable rows and a potential 117649 ways to win due to the varying symbol heights. There’s a haunting soundtrack to the action which takes place in a temple against a backdrop of stone ruins.
The high value symbols include a Pegasus, a warrior turned to stone, a gold necklace, a ring and a pair of winged shoes; 10, J, Q, K and A represent the lower values.

Similar to collapsing reels and always a favourite, symbols in winning combinations will disappear and be replace by more falling in from above; more wins can then be formed and the process will continue.

This can be triggered if a wild symbol appears on the upper horizontal reel; all standard symbols below that one will become wild to hopefully help out with some wins.
Free Spins
This is triggered by landing at least three of the scatter symbols anywhere in view (or by buying your way straight in at a cost of 100x your stake) for which you will receive an initial ten free spins although each scatter appearing during the round will award five extra spins.
The multiplier for any wins in the spins starts at 2x but will increase by 1x with every successful reaction and there’s no upper limit on that multiplier value.
If a soldier appears on the top horizontal reel during the spins the Snake Strike feature is triggered in which snakes to the left or right of the reels will strike the soldier, turning him into a wild or a scatter symbol respectively.

Verdict
Medusa Megaways is one of the more feature-packed Megaways slots and very entertaining it is too; we like the ability to buy your way straight into the free spins round but note that you won’t always win that purchase price back.
