If simplicity is a virtue then three reel slots such as Jurassic Jackpot have a lot of good karma headed their way. We don’t always need five reels, wild symbols and a host of extra bonus features to enjoy a game; sometimes it’s enough just to press the ‘Spin’ button and watch the reels in the knowledge that you’ll land a winning combo or you won’t – there’s nothing else.
Jurassic Jackpot has three reels and just one payline and the theme of the game is of course Jurassic Park. The original Steven Spielberg movie was the best of the bunch and tells the story of a Pacific island converted into a safari park containing cloned dinosaurs. This slot tries to capture some of the atmosphere of that film and is partially successful. Behind the reels we can see the silhouettes of the mountainous island and the background noises recreate a jungle setting quite effectively.
The majority of the symbols are combinations of the traditional bar but we also have a jurassic red flower, a dinosaur skull and the Jurassic Park logo – a dinosaur head silhouetted against the setting sun. Three of those logos on the payline will win you the maximum payout of 800 or 1600 coins, depending on your bet level.
How It Works
As you might expect from a three reel slot, this is all pretty simple; all you need to do is select your stake with the ‘+’ and ‘-‘ buttons underneath the reels. You can then use the ‘Bet One’ button to double up that stake with the potential for doubling your winnings.
There are no bonus features but the logo is quite handy – it’s acts as a wild and if one or two appear in a winning combo it will multiply your winnings by 2x or 4x respectively.
Verdict
As classic slots go, this is a good one and does what it says on the tin; it looks and sounds good and the wild symbol adds a little extra excitement to proceedings.
