Jaguar Gems is a five reel slot with three rows and twenty fixed paylines; two alert eyes stare threateningly at you from above the red and yellow-framed reels and behind them is just a glimpse of a humid jungle environment.

There are only six standard symbols and these include the Jaguar gems logo along with five different gems – purple, white, red, yellow and blue.

Jaguar Expanding Wild

This is triggered each time you land a jaguar wild/bonus symbol anywhere on reels one, three or five; you will now receive one free spin and that wild will remain in place, expanding to fill all positions on it’s reel.

It’s possible you may win nothing of course and if this happens on two successive triggers the third will offer players the opportunity to select an extra reel to be completely wild.

Yellow Eyes/Red Eyes

At all times one of two game modes is in play and these are changed at random:

• Yellow Eyes – more chance of standard wins but less chance of the bonus being triggered.
• Red Eyes – less chance of standard wins but more chance of triggering the bonus.

Fortune Bet

This will add 50% to your total stake but it will double size of the bonus symbols to give you a better chance of triggering the Expanding Wild feature.

Verdict

There’s plenty of creativity in Jaguar Gems, in particular the random changes in game mode which can make triggering the bonus easier, especially with the Fortune Bet active. It’s nicely designed and comes with an RTP of 95.00%.
