Deep beneath the ocean waves there’s a community of small but colourful fish whose only task is to provide the components for an online slot for our enjoyment. Fortune Fish is a five reel slot with three rows and up to twenty five paylines; the undersea location is a familiar one to slots fans with various artefacts in the background lit by rays of light from the surface above. The reels are framed by aquatic greenery with more colourful flora at the front.
Those reels don’t spin int he usual manner – as you can see the fish which comprise the symbols are all facing to the left; click ‘Spin’ and they’ll all swim off in that direction to be replaced by a new shoal and new winning opportunities.
There are nine fish which make up the symbols and we have no idea if they’re real or not; however they are all colourful and add to the ambience.
The seahorse is wild and substitutes for all others except the scatter – that’s represented by a turtle which activates the main feature.

Verdict
Fortune Fish is a pleasant enough diversion and should appeal to fans of this fishy genre; we like the graphics and the reel spin mechanism although we found the free spins a little hard to trigger. We should also add the according to the developer, some of the proceeds from this game are donated to ocean preservation.
