Possibly only Net Entertainment could take a subject like ‘flowers’ and turn it into the basis for a compelling online slot machine. It’s difficult to actually make flowers do anything more interesting than just look pretty but Net Ent’s high quality artwork makes everything seem a little bit brighter.
It’s a lovely-looking five reel and thirty payline slot with some giant red, white and yellow flowers forming the background to the game. J, Q, K and A are the low value symbols but firther up the scale we have a blue, bluebell-type flower, a pink flower, a red rose, a yellow sunflower and green plant which closely resembles Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors. All flower symbols feature either one or two of those flowers and for that reason it’s possible to form winning combinations containing, for example, ten sunflowers.
Special symbols are a sun wild and cloud free spin symbols – one featuring one cloud and one featuring two.
The fact that various symbols have either one or two characters on them makes predicting if you’re going to land a bonus game a bit tricky to start with. You need to keep a close eye on how many clouds are on each symbol to avoid disappointment.
You’ll need to land either four, five, six, seven or eight cloud symbols to win yourself 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 free spins respectively; that might sound easy to do but in our experience it takes a while to trigger the bonus round. When it does occur you’ll get the correct number of spins subject to a 3x multiplier.
During the bonus game the wild symbol becomes a stacked wild, meaning it can cover all the symbols on a reel if it lands in the right place; you can see this in the video below.
The good news is that additional free spins can be activated by landing more cloud symbols.
The graphics on this slot are as good as you would expect from Net Entertainment and the background sounds are bright and cheerful. We’d like the bonus to be triggered a bit more often but that doesn’t detract from what is a really good game.
