With the demise of the newspaper industry the days of the paper round may be numbered; many of us of a certain age will have earned extra pocket money by delivering the morning papers around the neighbourhood and so this new online slot from NextGen may be familiar territory. It’s called Extra Cash! and it’s a retro look at this fading industry.
Extra Cash! features five reels and fifty paylines and we estimate it’s set in the 1930s or 1940s; there are buildings and street scenes in the background and out trusty paperboy to the left of the reels.
The usual 10, J, Q, K and A make up the lower value symbol but the higher values are theme-related and include a stack of newspapers, a little red cart, a kiosk, a dog and a newspaper van.
The wild symbol is the newspaper headline and the scatter s a nicely drawn representation of the printing process.

Extra Wild
During the base game the paperboy may fling an extra wild onto reels two, three and four to help out; in the free spins it can be added to any reel.
Re-Spin Feature
If you land two, three of four of the scatter symbols in the base game, this feature is triggered. The reels with the scatters are held and the rest are spun again in an effort to land more. If you end up with just the two original scatters, the free spins won’t triggered.
