Mining may not seem to be an obvious theme for an online slot machine but in fact it offers a rich seam of ideas and creativity; Diamond Mine Megaways is a good example, it’s developed by Big Time Gaming and it comes with some clever features and a helpful extra row.
Diamond Mine Megaways is a six reel slot with up to seven rows (depending on the size of the symbols) and a potential 117649 ways to win; the reels spin on a wooden structure built into the entrance of a mine in some remote, North American location.
The four high value symbols comprise a large diamond, the bearded miner, a lamp and crossed pickaxes/shovels; 9, 10, J, Q, K and A make up the lower values.
The stick of dynamite is wild and it will replace all others to help form winning combos except for the bag of gold scatter symbol; the wild only appears on the top row and here the symbols slide in from the right hand side.

Cascading Symbols
Diamond Mine uses cascading symbols which means that each winning combo will disappear and be replaced by new ones falling in from above; these can then make new combos and this process continues until there are no more wins.

Verdict
Diamond Mine is a slot which brings some extra zip to the mining genre; the gameplay is very enjoyable but we’ll admit that we always like the cascading reels feature which contributes to that enjoyment.
