Unlikely as it may seem there are a few slot machines themed on the weather and Bet365 Originals have now come up with one more in the windy shape of Cyclone Chasers – it has a cluster gameplay mechanic, wild features and gusty free spins.
Cyclone Chasers is a seven reel slot set against a rural backdrop overshadowed by dark grey skies; your task is to create clusters of matching symbols which connect horizontally and/or vertically. Those symbols will then disappear and be replaced by more falling in from above, potentially continuing the process.
The high value symbols are screens displaying the sun, pink lightning, rain and clouds; playing card symbols make up the lower values. The blue lightning is wild and the ‘Scatter’ icon is of course the scatter.
Cyclone Chasers Bonus Features
Reel Modifiers
On any spin one of six reel modifiers can hit at random and these are displayed to the left of the reels; the order changes on each spin except for the Eye of the Storm which is always the final one:
- Flash Flood – all instances of a low value symbol are replaced by a high value one.
- Tornado – the grid is shuffled to (try and) create a winning combo.
- Thunderstorm – a large, 2×2 regular symbol is added to the reels.
- Gale Force – between 12 and 15 symbols are removed from the reels to create a new cascade.
- Lightning Strike – between 2 and 5 extra wilds are added to the reels.
- Eye Of The Storm – a large, 3×3 wild symbol is added to the reels.
Free Spins
Landing at least three of the scatter symbols anywhere in view will award eight free spins and those scatters will now become roaming wilds which move around on the initial spin (not any subsequent cascades). Wilds start with a 1x multiplier and that increases by 1x when the wild is involved in a win. Multiple multiplier values are added together.
