Everybody likes a day out at an amusement park but if you want to save yourself the travel, the expense and the likelihood of vomit then what not stay at home, fire up the laptop and check out a game like Cash Coaster. It’s an IGT online slot which is all about those old-style wooden roller coasters most identifiable with US theme parks.
Cash Coaster plays out over five reels and thirty paylines and although those reels themselves look quite basic, there’s a fantastic lit up Cash Coaster sign which constantly dazzles with it’s numerous blinking light bulbs. Further back, sections of the roller coaster are visible stretching into the distance.
There’s a retro feel to the whole game and that also applies to the symbols on the reels; they are all fairground-related and include pretzels, toffee apples, an ice cream, candy floss, pop corn, fruit cones and a range of five sevens – all in different colours. You can win with different sevens but there must be five.
The wild symbol is a bit lit up ‘Wild’ and the scatter is represented by a ‘Free Spins’ ticket and there’s no prizes for guessing what that’s for.
Bonus Features
Random Wilds
In the base game, reel one, reel five or both at the same time may become completely wild which should give players extra winning potential.
Free Spins
Landing three of the Free Spins tickets anywhere in view will trigger the spins and the first thing you need to do is pick one of the three ticket booths on show to determine whether you will receive 4, 5 or 6. During this round reels one and five will be completely wild.
A slightly different coloured ticket appears during the spins and landing three of those anywhere in view will award up to 6 more spins.
Verdict
This is rather a strange slot and playing it for the first time you wonder if it’s brand new or quite old. It’s action packed though and has a noisy sound track which you probably won’t be able to live with for too long. We like it though and are happy to recommend it.
