The life of a cat burglar is probably nowhere near as glamourous as it’s perhaps made out to be but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy an online slot based on these unsung criminals. Art of the Heist is a five reel slot with three rows and twenty one fixed paylines and those reels spin on the sides of an museum stacked with expensive items – the target of our ne’er-do-well anti-hero. Stylised trees and houses dot the background underneath a star-filled night sky.
Most of the symbols are related to the theme and include a crown, a armless bust (Venus de Milo?), an Egyptian mummy, an external view of the museum and the alarm keypad; J, Q, K and A also make an appearance but accessorised with various expensive objects.

Free Spins
When you start your game the burglar will appear just outside the top left position on the reels; Vincenzo must make it along the top row, back along the middle row and finally along the bottom row to the escape vehicle to trigger the free spins. He accomplishes this by stepping on certain symbols after each spin:
- Alarm Keypad – moves Vincenzo 1-3 steps forward.
- Treasure Chest Wild – Adds 1-2 free spins to the counter.
- Mona Lisa – Activates the Secret Treasure Room
- The Mummy – Pushes Vincenzo back two steps.
- Policeman – Holds Vincenzo on that space for three spins.
When Vincenzo finally reaches the vehicle in the bottom right hand corner he will trigger ten free spins plus any you have collected during his journey. During this round the wild symbol can appear stacked as various famous paintings. It’s not possible to trigger any more spins during this round.
Secret Treasure Room
This is triggered when Vincenzo steps on the Mona Lisa bonus symbol on his travels and you will be taken to a top down view of the museum. All you have to do is pick rooms one by one to win cash prizes and you start with seven keys to open seven rooms – however when you encounter three guards in different rooms the round is over. If you’re lucky you may find the two extra hidden keys in the rooms.
