Christmas in Hawaii is the theme of this online slot from Net Entertainment and Aloha! Christmas is of course a sequel to the ever-popular Aloha! Cluster Pays; read our festive review and we’ll tell you all about the respins, Tiki Free Spins and Mystery Symbols which await.
Aloha! Christmas is a six reel slot with six rows and the Cluster Pays gameplay mechanic which means that wins are formed by landing at least nine matching symbols together vertically and/or horizontally.
The three Tiki masks in red, green and blue are the higher value symbols while the lower values are pineapples, coconuts, shells and flowers; the masks are two symbols tall. There are no wild symbols but the free spins stamp and the question marks are the bonus icons.
Aloha! Christmas Bonus Features
Mystery Symbols will land anytime in the base game and free spins and when they do they’ll all transform into matching symbols and hopefully help out with a win.
Sticky Win Respins
This can be triggered at random after any win and that win plus any other matching symbols will lock in place; you’ll now receive respins as long as there are more matching symbols landing. The larger the cluster is at the end of the round, the larger the multiplier applied to the total win. This can be just 1x with up to 19 symbols or a tasty 7x if there are more than 35.
Landing at least three of the free spins stamps anywhere in view (or partially in view) will award a choice of the following:
- Tiki Bar Free Spins – 10 free spins with a wild multiplier of 2x, 3x or 4x.
- Tiki Bar Max Free Spins – 6 free spins with a wild multiplier of 4x, 5x or 7x.
In both modes look out for the starfish symbols which appear because they’ll be collected and totalled with the following effects:
- Three Starfish – the flower is removed from the reels.
- Six Starfish – the shell is removed from the reels.
- Nine Starfish – the coconut is removed from the reels.
- Twelve Starfish – the pineapple is removed from the reels.
Two extra spins are also awarded with each three starfish grabbed but no more will appear on the reels once twelve have been collected.
There’s not a great deal of difference between Aloha! Christmas and the original but there’s enough variety in the free spins round to give it a bit of freshness and vitality; play it at Christmas or any other time of the year!
