Following hard on the heels of Playtech’s Superman: The Movie online slot is this sequel which of course is based on the second movie of the original trio. That’s the one in which our hero has to battle General Zod and his friends after they escape from the Phantom Zone – it’s called Superman 2.
Superman II is a five reel slot with three rows and twenty five fixed paylines and the reel-spinning action takes place above the city of Metropolis. Music from the movie accompanies your gameplay as you trigger various bonuses based on characters and events from the film.

This can occur randomly during any base game spin – Superman will fly across the screen and up to four symbols wild, after which any payouts will be evaluated.
Daily Planet Headline Bonus
This is triggered by landing three of the Daily Planet bonus symbols anywhere on reels one, three and five and then you must then press ‘Stop’ to determine one of the following five features:
- Battle For Metropolis – work your way through picking rounds to win cash prizes, X-rays or kryptonite; X-rays will reveal all the prizes and kryptonite can cancel out the round-ending ‘Collect’.
- Phantom Zone – unlimited free spins with a 2×2 wild Phantom Zone square on each spin; multipliers, ‘S’ symbols and explosives (which end the round) are awarded on each spin. The ‘S’ symbol can cancel out one explosive.
