Lock It Link
This is triggered by landing three red hearts on the same row or via the Vamp It Up bonus wheel; to begin with each heart will be upgraded to a gold one and annotated with a multiplier of up to 10x. They will also slide together and three spins will be awarded with each symbol position spinning individually. Only blue and red hearts are active (the others symbols are blanked out) during this feature and each time they land they’ll lock in place with multiplier values attached; three or more hearts of a similar colour grouped horizontally or vertically will become gold hearts, as will any heart which lands adjacent to these groups. Spin with a new link created will increase all gold multipliers by 0.5x.
But there’s more still – any red heart linking to locked hearts will reset the number of spins to three while any blue hearts linking will activate Mighty Reels and reset the number of spins to four. When the spins end the total win is multiplied by the total multiplier values in view.
Verdict
Barcrest clearly enjoy a complex bonus feature but this one works well and it can prove to be a big winner once all those multipliers are added up and extra spins are awarded; Vampire Desire is an enjoyable horror-themed slot which should not just be played on Halloween.
