Norse mythology is the familiar theme of this online slot machine from Microgaming which comes with two different bonus features and a helpful, expanding Thor; it’s called Fortunes of Asgard and you can find out how it works right here.
Fortunes of Asgard is a five reel slot with three rows and twenty fixed paylines; the various floating islands which make up the homes of the gods form the backdrop to the reels whose marbled borders are buttressed by gilded golden corners.
The high value symbols include Thor’s hammer (Mjolnir), a shield, a purple book, Thor and Hellia; 10, J, Q, K and A make up the lower values.
The wild is a bolt of lighting which will substitute for all others except for the Bonus and Scatter symbols.
Bonus Features
Thor & Hellia
At any time during the game you can select Thor or Hellia using the little pictures on either side of the reels and doing so will determine which of their features is active:
- Thor – land Thor next to his hammer and the reel that Thor is on will turn completely wild.
- Hellia – land Hellia next to the book and she will become wild and stay in place for the next spin.
Free Spins
This is triggered by landing three, four or five scatter symbols for which you will receive 10, 15 or 25 free spins respectively; it’s not possible to win any more spins during this round but both the Thor and Hellia features are active.
Galaxy Bonus
