It’s hard to get away from zombies these days, physically and metaphorically, so it’s no surprise to see an undead-themed online slot hitting our casinos. This one’s called Lost Vegas, it’s developed by Microgaming and it offers players the chance to play as either survivors or zombies plus several bonus features.
Lost Vegas is a five reel slot with three rows and twenty five paylines; play as the Survivors and the action takes place into a well-lit casino but play as the Zombies and you’re outside in a desolate Las Vegas street. The features differ depending on the game mode chosen but we’ll explain this in more detail below – you can swap modes anytime in the base game using the button in the top right hand corner.
The high value symbols are either five survivors or five zombies depending on your mode selection but the lower values for both are the standard 10, J, Q, K and A.
The Lost Vegas symbol is wild and it will replace all others in a winning combo except the toxic scatter which activates one of the bonus features.

Free Spins
This is triggered by landing three or more of the toxic scatter symbols anywhere in view; you will be awarded the following:
- Survivor Mode – endless spins and each time a 10, J, Q, K or A lands on the reels it’s removed from the reel set and you’ll receive a payout. When all have been removed the round is over.
- Zombie Mode – stacked zombies will infect other reels, turning wilds into stacked wilds; when all reels are infected the round is over (or 50 spins is played first). Playing 50 spins will award an extra prize.
Blackout Bonus
This can occur randomly in the base game on any non-winning spin and you will receive a cash prize for each character symbol on the reels; the free spins can be triggered from here with just one scatter symbol.
Zombie Fist Of Cash
This occurs randomly in the base game of both modes on any non-winning spin and you will see a large zombie fist appear on the screen to award a cash prize.
Verdict
Lost Vegas is a better slot than many recent Microgaming releases – it combines some nice graphics with a good narrative and various interesting bonus features and the result is a compelling game – give it a go!.
