If you’re the type of Blackjack player who prefers the purest form of this classic casino game then something like Win Win Blackjack probably isn’t for you. If, however, you like a bit of variety in your gameplay then stay tuned – this is a high quality IGT version with an interesting twist.
Load up this game for the first time and you will be presented with what looks like a fairly standard Blackjack setup except that next to the betting circle there’s another one labelled ‘Rescue Bonus’ which we shall explain below.
How To Play Win Win Blackjack
The aim of this game is to create a hand which beats the dealer but which does not exceed 21. The Rescue Bonus is an added extra which comes into effect if you bust (exceed 21).
You can play this version as standard Blackjack if you wish – just don’t bet on the Rescue Bonus space. If you would like to do this then the game plays out like any other version of Blackjack.
Of course the whole point of this game is to play the extra Rescue Bonus part and we’d recommend you do just that. So after placing a bet on the main betting circle, place one on the Rescue Bonus spot as well; this can be a maximum of 2x your main bet.
You can only lose this extra bet in two ways – if the dealer has a Blackjack or if you bust, otherwise the stake is returned. Busting is where the fun begins because you now get the chance to form a five card poker hand. This hand is formed by the first card which busts your Blackjack hand plus five more dealt from the pack.
That five card hand is now evaluated for wins according to the paytable on the right; a Suited Pair (six decks are used) will pay evens all the way up to 250/1 for a Royal Flush.
If you split your original hand and bust both only the first bust hand will trigger the Rescue Bonus.
This is an interesting and enjoyable version of Blackjack and it has the odd effect of making you want to bust to see if you can create a decent poker hand. RTP information is unfortunately not available for this game.
