Aberdeen is unquestionably the centre of the UK’s oil industry; perched on the east coast of Scotland on the River Dee with the Cairngorms National Park just to the west. Oil revenue ensures the Granite City is one of the wealthiest cities in the British Isles so it’s no surprise to find three casinos there.
Soul Casino
Possibly our favourite casino name, the Soul Casino is relatively new and situated in a former church on Union Street. It’s not part of a larger chain of casinos although it is owned by PB Devco who run a number of venues in Aberdeen.
It’s a fantastic looking venue made even more spectacular by the high arched ceilings, stained glass windows and original organ.
Slot machines are referred to ‘bandits’ at Soul Casino and there are twelve in total to get to grips with here. Not only that but on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday evenings you can earn cashback on your losses in special promotions. American Roulette, Blackjack & 3 Card Poker are also available along with Electronic Roulette if that’s your thing.
Soul Casino has quite restricted opening hours – from 2pm till late and from 7pm on Sundays – but those hours are fine for most people. If you’re hungry then take advantage of the famous breakfasts on offer and of course there’s a classy bar when you need a drink.

Grosvenor Casino
The Grosvenor may be a chain casino but we like this one – it’s located on Exchequer Row at the City Wharf Development and it’s a 24 hour venue.
You’ll know what to expect if you’ve visited other Grosvenor venues and it has the maximum number of slot machines available including multigame cabinets from IGT and Novomatic. Roulette, Blackjack and Poker are also on hand as is a restaurant and decent sized bar showing sporting events.

Rainbow Casino
There are five Rainbow Casinos in the UK and fortunately there’s one in Aberdeen on Summer Street. Like the Soul Casino it’s not 24 hour opening – 3pm – 5am Sunday to Thursday and until 7am Friday/Saturday.
It has a nice range of slot machines with progressive jackpots available and the interior is well set out with plenty of room for everyone, whether they want to check out the Poker, Roulette or Blackjack. There are regular poker tournaments for those so inclined.
Even if you have no interest in gambling the restaurant and bar are worth a visit if you’re in the area.
