If you’re reading this then it’s probably about a quarter of the way through the year so we’re getting there slowly; what it also means is that Saint Patrick’s Day is just around the corner. Patrick was a fifth century bishop in Ireland and credited with the formation of Christianity there which he why is still revered so widely around the world.
Saint Patrick’s Day is always on March 17th and it’s become known as a celebration both of this chap and of Ireland itself and it’s now regarded also as a chance to pretend you have an Irish heritage and drink vast amounts of Guinness to prove that is, in fact, the case. The global nature of this party means that several cites outside Ireland can now lay claim to bigger celebrations than the homeland.
