- but why not try one of these?
When it’s time for a party, it’s time for a party; these things don’t have to be organised and some of the best get-togethers are those impromptu sessions which quickly degenerate into an all-night drinking marathon. We have no interest in any of that of course and we’re inclined to think that Microgaming have the same opinion if the Party Time slot is anything to go by.
Party Time is a three reel slot with a single payline and it looks to be themed on the sort of celebration which might be more suitable for children – i.e. no fun at all for any self-respecting adult. The big party hooter underneath the reels gives the game away, along with the coned paper hat in the bottom left hand corner.
The reels occupy the top left hand corner of the screen with all the paytable information on the right hand side of the screen. It’s not until you delve down into the symbols that you find any trace of booze; those icons include cherries, single bars, cocktail glasses, a wine bottle, pink sevens and a jukebox. The jackpot symbols is the Party Time logo and worth 9000x your stake for three on a winning line but only under certain circumstances – see below.
There are three coin levels in this game which are selected by clicking the ‘Bet One’ button below the reels. Combined with the choice of bet level you have a betting range of between £0.25 and £30.00. By using two or three coins you will be doubling to tripling the available prizes; however the jackpot prize is only available if you are playing with three coins – you will see the applicable prizes light up as you click the ‘Bet One’ button.
What this means is that it pays to splash out a bit with your stakes – the minimum stake for three coins is £0.75 so that’s a good place to start.
The background to the bottle and the cocktail glass is the bar and if you land three symbols which include a bar then that’s a winner also, but only 2x your stake.
This is a simple slot but one which we enjoyed during our testing, despite our derision of the theme. The sound effects are traditional casino noises and once more, don’t forget to play with all three coins.
