Not to be confused with Playtech’s Around The World board game, this is a proper online slot machine from Microgaming which celebrates the legendary fictional journey of Phileas Fogg as described by Jules Verne in 1873. In the novel, Fogg undertakes to circumnavigate the globe in eighty days or less to win a bet with members of The Reform Club.
Around The World features five reels, twenty paylines and an enticingly complex bonus game which takes us on a number of different journeys. The game has a lovely Victorian feel to it and the background to the reels contains a number of global landmarks.
The symbols on the reels are all various methods of transport and include a camel, an elephant, a Chinese junk, a steam train, an ocean liner, a hot air balloon and a biplane.

Compass Scatter Symbols
When you land three or more scatter symbols on an active payline, the needle each compass will sway and point to various directions. Any that are pointing north when they finish add a 2x multiplier to your win. This means that five compasses all pointing north will give a cumulative multiplier of 32x.
Globe Bonus
This is the main bonus game and to activate it you’ll need to land three, four or five of the globe symbols on an active payline. You will now win a prize which you can collect or you can play the bonus game and pick a route (A, B, C or D) to travel the world and pick up more rewards.
Your route may result in more treasure, a multiplier or a shipwreck which will leave you empty handed. At each stage you can collect a portion of you winnings if you wish and gamble on continuing journey with the rest.
