Deep inside some unidentified temple in a mystery location there’s a chamber filled with jewels and gold; this is the Treasure Room and that’s also the name of this online slot from Betsoft Games. It’s an atmospheric game with several bonus features, a progressive jackpot and it’s described in more detail in the following review.
Treasure Room is a five reel slot with three rows and twenty fixed paylines; torches attached to the ornate walls either side of the reels light up the gold and jewels strewn around the room.
All the symbols are related to the theme and include a pile of gems, gold coins,a helmet, a jade ring, a blue jewel, a treasure map and an egg timer.
The wild symbol is the compass and there are three bonus icons – the treasure chest, the circle key and the sword and shield – which all activate extra features.
Bonus Features
Rare Treasure Game
This is triggered by landing three or more of the circle key symbols anywhere on an active payline and you will now be whisked to a screen displaying three doors. There’s no wrong choice here, each door reveals a gem which is worth a certain prize amount so just click on all three to complete the round.
If this feature is triggered with more than three symbols, you’re winnings will be multiplied.
Sword & Shield Bonus
Trigger this by landing three or more of the sword/shield symbols anywhere on an active payline; all you have to do now is pick one of this symbols (which now say ‘Click Me’) for an instant win up 5000x your line stake.
Progressive Jackpot
This is where the big bucks are won and you can see the running total above the reels; to win it you need to land five of the treasure chests on an active payline after which you can phone your boss and tell him you’re not coming back to work.
Verdict
Slots nerds may well recognise some similarities between Treasure Room and Betsoft’s Genie’s Fortune but there’s nothing wrong with that; the theme is a good one and it’s all of a decent quality. If you like progressive jackpots, check it out.
