We always like to see an online slot featuring pirates; very few things are diminished by the addition of a few scurvy sea dogs although the crew of cargo containers off the coast of Somalia would probably disagree. Pirates, vampires, cowboys – all these things can only improve whatever they are added to. What we have here is three pirates who happen to be parrots, watching over their gold in front of a fire on a tropical beach somewhere. This is Pirate’s Paradise and it’s a classic slot designed by Microgaming.
Pirate’s Paradise is a three reel and single payline game and it’s certainly one of the more basic of Microgaming’s slots. Our piratey parrots cavort below the reels while the paytable is located on the right hand side, displaying all the information you need.
The symbols are theme-related and include conch shells, three different sizes of palm tree, the Jolly Roger flag and an overflowing treasure chest.
There are no bonuses or bonus symbols but there are other ways to win other than just matching three symbols on the payline:
- One or two conch shells anywhere on the payline will earn you a payout of 2x or 5x your bet respectively.
- Any combination of three palm trees will pay out 5x your stake.
- Any combination of three treasure chests or Jolly Rogers will pay out 40x your stake.
Kick things off by selecting your bet using the plus and minus signs below the reels; now you can select between three coin levels by clicking the ‘Bet One’ button. Your stake will increase proportionately and so will the payouts as you can see from the the paytable.
Note that the jackpot payout for three coins is 2500x your line stake; this is disproportionately more than other payouts meaning there is an extra financial incentive for using three coins. Your minimum bet would be £0.75.
This is a largely run-of-the-mill slot which doesn’t offer much to the player unless you like the most basic type of game. Still, it does have pirates…
